🇬🇧 JEREZ, SPAIN | 27 APRIL 2026 – Malaysian rider Hakim Danish Ramli continued his consistent run after finishing the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix in the points at the Moto3 race at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto.
Competing for AEON Credit MT Helmets MSI, Hakim Danish staged a strong recovery to finish 13th with a time of 33 minutes 36.140 seconds. The Terengganu-born rider crossed the line 12.584 seconds behind race winner Máximo Quiles of CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team.

Starting from 10th on the grid, Hakim Danish delivered a confident ride, overtaking several riders to move up to eighth as early as lap two. However, intense battles in the midfield affected his progress, dropping him to 11th by lap four before slipping to 14th on lap seven.

The Malaysian prospect responded strongly over the final four laps, regaining pace to recover to 13th, where he remained until the chequered flag. The three points collected in Jerez bring his season tally to 12 points, moving him up to 15th overall in the Moto3 World Championship standings.

The result is seen as another positive step for Hakim Danish, particularly with Jerez renowned for its technical demands and fierce competition among the world’s elite riders. In the same race, his Japanese team-mate Ryusei Yamanaka finished 17th.

The Spanish Grand Prix podium was dominated by home riders, with Adrián Fernández of Leopard Racing taking second place, while David Muñoz of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP completed the podium.

Hakim Danish will now shift his focus to preparations for the French Grand Prix at Le Mans Circuit, scheduled from 8 to 10 May. He will continue refining the technical and tactical aspects of his race craft as he targets a stronger result in the next round, with the aim of moving closer to his mission of breaking into the world’s top 10 at the iconic French circuit.

🇬🇧 “During the race, I struggled a little in the high-speed corners and lost quite a lot of time in those sections. I need to improve my riding, particularly through some of those fast corners.
I managed to run in eighth position at one stage, but was later passed again by several riders. The race pace of the front group was very consistent, and I found it quite difficult to match their rhythm.

However, I did not give up and kept pushing to chase the riders ahead. In terms of tyre choice, I feel the decision we made was quite good and broadly similar to the other riders.

As for the bike set-up, I believe there is still room for improvement. In terms of pressure, I did not face any issues.”

Terima kasih.”

🇬🇧 “This has been a fairly positive week for Danish. Our target was to make it into Q2, and Hakim Danish successfully qualified for Q2.
The whole process and progress he made at Jerez was in line with what we expected, as this is a very challenging circuit. But we saw Danish rise to that challenge, take the fight to the other riders, and ultimately finish the race in 13th position. Those are valuable points.

However, I believe there is still plenty of room for improvement in terms of riding, so that Danish can remain competitive, and even be more competitive, with the front group.

Thank you to the entire team looking after Danish in Spain, and we now look ahead to Le Mans, which is one of Danish’s favourite circuits. We hope he can deliver an even stronger performance there. Thank you.”
