🇬🇧 Barcelona, Spain | 12 May – Hakim Danish Ramli is determined to bounce back and deliver a stronger result at this weekend’s Catalunya Grand Prix (GP) after enduring a challenging outing in Le Mans, France, last week.
The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSI rider had shown encouraging pace throughout the French GP weekend, successfully securing a place in the second qualifying session (Q2) following a consistent performance in the free practice sessions. However, an imperfect setup choice in wet conditions saw Hakim Danish settle for 10th place, earning six valuable points in a dramatic race at the Le Mans Circuit.

The race took place in extremely slippery conditions, with nearly half of the riders failing to finish after crashing out. The situation forced Hakim Danish to adopt a more cautious approach to avoid the risk of an accident that could have left him empty-handed. Now, the young Malaysian rider is determined to use the experience in Le Mans as an important lesson heading into this weekend’s challenge at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Hakim Danish also enjoyed a strong record at Catalunya during last season’s Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup (RBRC). However, he acknowledged that the challenge in Moto3 is far more intense compared to the RBRC, with the level of competition much closer across the grid. As such, his main focus now is to secure the best possible setup from the opening free practice session before targeting a stronger position in qualifying and the main race.

Sekarang fokus saya hanya satu iaitu perlumbaan Catalunya.

🇬🇧 “Le Mans taught me a lot about how to stay calm when conditions are extremely difficult. Sometimes in racing, it’s not the fastest rider who wins, but the one who manages the risks most wisely. I was disappointed because we actually had very good pace throughout the weekend, but our setup in the wet conditions didn’t quite work.

Even so, I’m still grateful to come away with points when many other riders were unable to finish the race. Now, my focus is on one thing only – the Catalunya race. I have very good memories there, which gives me extra confidence. I want to deliver a cleaner performance and, if everything comes together, fight for a much stronger result.”

🇬🇧 “Overall, Hakim Danish’s performance in Le Mans was very positive, even though the race result may not fully reflect our true potential.
In dry conditions, he was among the most competitive riders throughout the weekend. However, once the rain arrived, we struggled slightly with the setup, and that affected his confidence during the race. What mattered most was that he showed remarkable maturity by staying calm and bringing home valuable points. That is extremely important in a world championship.

We are confident that Catalunya could present another strong opportunity for Hakim Danish, given his good record there. If we can get the setup right from the very beginning, I believe he is capable of delivering an even bigger result this weekend.”
