🇬🇧 SILVERSTONE, UNITED KINGDOM | 11 August 2026 – Talented Malaysian rider Hakim Danish was forced to abandon his hopes of continuing his points-scoring run at the British Grand Prix after crashing during the Moto3 race at Silverstone Circuit today.
The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider started the race from ninth on the grid before dropping to 12th position on the opening lap. However, Hakim Danish quickly found his pace and fought his way past several riders to move up to eighth, returning to the battle at the front of the field.

However, on Lap 5, the Terengganu-born rider was caught up in an incident at Turns 16-17.

Irish rider Casey O’Gorman (SIC58 Squadra Corse), riding a Honda, was involved in an incident with Spanish rider Adrian Cruces (CIP Green Power), which resulted in Cruces crashing. Hakim Danish, who was riding nearby, was forced to take evasive action to avoid the collision.

However, his attempt to avoid the incident saw his motorcycle run off the racing line before he also crashed at Turn 17. Following the incident, O’Gorman was subsequently handed a Long Lap Penalty for causing the crash.

Prior to the race, Hakim Danish had already caught attention during qualifying after posting a lap time of 2 minutes 9.977 seconds to secure ninth on the grid, marking a positive step forward after a challenging start to the weekend.

ZK Racing Director Zulfahmi Khairuddin said the result at Silverstone did not reflect Hakim Danish’s true potential, particularly after the rider managed to bounce back and demonstrate competitive pace throughout the weekend.

According to him, the team will use the experience gained at Silverstone as valuable input to make further improvements to the motorcycle, while ensuring Hakim Danish can learn from the race and return stronger at the next round in Aragon.

Failing to finish the race at Silverstone meant Hakim Danish did not add any points to his championship tally and remains eighth in the Moto3 World Championship standings with 86 points.

In the 2026 Rookie of the Year standings, Hakim Danish also remains third with 86 points, behind Brian Uriarte with 127 points and Veda Pratama with 97 points.

🇬🇧 “Alhamdulillah, I did not suffer any injuries after the crash earlier. During the race, I felt very good on the bike and was confident that I could fight with the riders at the front.

“Unfortunately, I crashed while trying to avoid another rider who had fallen. Nevertheless, there are still many positives that I can take from this weekend. I learned a lot and I’m looking forward to the next race in Aragon.

“I will continue to give my best and keep working hard in training so I can come back stronger at the next race.”

🇬🇧 “In this race, it was clear that luck was not on Hakim Danish’s side as he was involved in a crash. Two riders coming from behind also collided with his motorcycle, causing Hakim to lose control before eventually crashing. Thankfully, he did not suffer any injuries.
“Overall, it was a competitive weekend for Hakim Danish. Although we had a difficult start, he managed to bounce back strongly in qualifying and showed positive progress to secure ninth on the starting grid.

“In racing, anything can happen, and we have to accept the result. What is important is that we take the experience from this weekend, continue making improvements, and ensure Hakim remains competitive and is able to put up an even stronger fight in the races to come.”
