πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ HUNGARY | 7 June 2026 – Despite seeing his race come to an early end following a first-lap crash, Hakim Danish Ramli viewed the Hungarian Grand Prix as a valuable learning experience in his development on the Moto3 World Championship stage.
Hakim Danish arrived at Balaton Park Circuit full of confidence after securing the first podium of his career at the Italian Grand Prix the previous week. However, the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider endured a challenging weekend on his first appearance at the circuit. The Malaysian youngster struggled to adapt to the characteristics of the track, failed to progress to Qualifying 2 (Q2) and was forced to start the race from 19th on the grid.

Nevertheless, the Terengganu-born rider remained optimistic about closing the gap to the front runners after showing steady improvements in lap times throughout the practice and qualifying sessions. Once the race got underway, Hakim Danish adopted an aggressive approach as he looked to make up positions while battling in the tightly packed midfield group.

However, his hopes of fighting for points were dashed when he became involved in a collision with CODE Motorsports rider Ruche Moodley at Turn 5 on the opening lap. The incident caused both riders to crash, forcing Hakim Danish to retire from the race without scoring any championship points.

Although the outcome was disappointing, the 18-year-old chose to view the experience in Hungary as another important step in his learning process during his debut season in the Moto3 World Championship. Hakim Danish has now shifted his focus to the Czech Republic Grand Prix at Automotodrom Brno from 19 to 21 June, with the aim of bouncing back and returning to the points-scoring positions.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ β€œOf course, I’m a little disappointed not to have finished the race today after crashing on the opening lap following an incident with another rider who hit me from behind. However, that is part of racing. Sometimes unexpected things happen and we have to accept them as part of the sport. Overall, it was quite a challenging weekend for me in Hungary as it was my first time racing at this circuit.

There are still many areas I need to improve, both in terms of my riding and my understanding of the track. I will take this experience as a valuable lesson that will help me develop as a rider and come back stronger in the future. Together with the team, we will continue working hard, and I will carry on with my training programme as usual to ensure I am fully prepared for the next race.

My focus now shifts to the Czech Republic Grand Prix. I’m really looking forward to getting back on track and hope to deliver a stronger performance and achieve a positive result in the next round. I would also like to thank my team, sponsors and all the fans who continue to support me.”

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ β€œThis was certainly a very challenging weekend for Hakim Danish, just as I had expected from the beginning. Balaton Park is a highly technical circuit that demands a great deal of confidence and experience from every rider. The gap between Hakim and the leading group was still quite significant at this track. Throughout the weekend, he worked extremely hard to adapt and improve his performance, but he never quite found the level of comfort and rhythm needed to perform at his best around the circuit.
Unfortunately, the race itself did not go his way either, as he was involved in an incident after being hit by another rider on the opening lap, bringing his race to an earlier end than we had hoped for. The most important thing for is that Hakim escaped without any injuries. That is the biggest positive take from this weekend, and I believe the incident will not affect his determination.

As a rider competing in his first season in the Moto3 World Championship, experiences like this are all part of the learning process. Hakim Danish has to approach every challenge calmly and use it as an opportunity to continue developing. I am confident that Hakim Danish can bounce back and return to the level of performance we know he is capable of. He has already shown considerable potential.

To have scored 48 points in his rookie season so far is a very impressive and encouraging achievement. It proves that he has the ability to compete at the highest level, even while still learning and gaining experience. I believe Hakim Danish is on the right path, and experiences like this will only make him a stronger rider. Our focus now is to bounce back in Brno and return to fighting for championship points.”
