πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ Motegi, Japan | 5 October 2026 – Hakim Danish displayed tremendous fighting spirit as he bounced back from a challenging weekend to finish 12th at the Japanese Grand Prix at Mobility Resort Motegi yesterday.

The result earned the AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider four valuable championship points, taking his overall tally to 105 points and allowing him to maintain seventh place in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship standings.

Hakim Danish started the race from 21st on the grid after enduring a difficult practice and qualifying period, which saw him suffer three heavy crashes on Friday and Saturday.

However, the 19-year-old refused to give up and delivered a determined performance throughout the 17-lap, 81.617-kilometre race, despite still experiencing discomfort in his left hand and shoulder.

Hakim Danish made a positive start before gradually working his way through the field. The Terengganu-born rider overtook several riders ahead of him before eventually crossing the finish line in 12th place with a time of 33 minutes 06.817 seconds.

During the race, Hakim Danish also faced difficulties managing the bike, particularly under braking and while entering corners, while having limited opportunities to make overtaking attempts.

Nevertheless, he managed the situation well until the chequered flag to secure four valuable points from Motegi.

ZK Racing views the result as another positive step forward for Hakim Danish, particularly after the young Malaysian demonstrated tremendous mental and physical resilience to recover from three crashes and still finish the race in the points.

The Japanese Grand Prix was won by David Almansa of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP. The 2026 Moto3 World Championship will now move on to the Indonesian Grand Prix at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit this weekend.

ZK Racing will now turn its attention to preparing Hakim Danish for the next round, with physical recovery and rebuilding confidence in the bike among the key priorities following a challenging weekend at Motegi.

ZK Racing would like to express its appreciation to the entire AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi team, sponsors, AEON Credit Service (M) Bhd, strategic partners, members of the media and all supporters who continue to provide their strong support to Hakim Danish throughout the 2026 season.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ β€œ Overall, this has been a very challenging start to the Asia series for me after suffering three major crashes on Friday and Saturday. However, in the race today, I refused to give up and pushed to finish the race as strongly as possible and achieve the best result.
I made a good start at the beginning of the race, although I struggled to move further up the field as the pace of all the riders was very fast. I tried to find opportunities to overtake, but the gaps were limited. I also struggled slightly with braking and handling the bike through the corners.

I tried to manage the situation as best as I could while chasing the group ahead. I’m grateful that I was eventually able to finish the race in 12th place.

Now, my focus turns to the next round in Indonesia. I will work on recovering as quickly as possible, especially my shoulder, which felt uncomfortable throughout today’s race.

Thank you to the entire team for their hard work in preparing the best possible bike, and thank you to all the fans for your incredible support.”

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ β€œ Motegi was certainly a very demanding weekend, both mentally and physically. Danish had several crashes during the free practice sessions, and each incident inevitably affected his confidence in the bike to some extent.
On top of that, he was not in the best physical condition due to an injury to his left hand. From the very first day, we worked closely with the physiotherapy team at the MotoGP Clinic to help manage and reduce the pain he was experiencing.

Honestly, I was very impressed by the confidence and determination shown by Danish. Racing while dealing with pain demonstrates that he has a very strong fighting spirit.

Heading into the race in Indonesia, we need to learn from what happened here and ensure that Danish does not continue to have frequent crashes during the practice sessions. This is part of the learning process as a rookie rider, and we need to make sure that this does not happen again in order to protect his safety and maintain his confidence.”
